LeYou Supermarket operates a large retail space which includes extensive lighting, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, all of which are essential for their daily operations but lead to high and variable energy costs. These costs constituted a significant portion of their overhead, challenging the financial stability and predictability of the business.

Challenge
The primary challenge was to curtail LeYou Supermarket’s dependence on grid-supplied electricity and reduce their overall energy expenditures in a manner that would not interfere with their ongoing operations. The supermarket required a solution that would seamlessly integrate with their existing infrastructure without disrupting the shopping experience.

Solution

Our proposed solution was a 40kW solar power system designed to meet these identified needs effectively. The system was planned to maximize roof space utilization while considering factors such as roof orientation, potential shading from nearby structures, and the supermarket’s geographic location to optimize sunlight capture throughout the year.
