At the heart of the City of PAE's commitment to sustainability lies the Green Business Incentive Scheme, designed to empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to invest in a greener future. With a focus on renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable transport, circular economy practices, and urban greening initiatives, the scheme aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while enhancing the resilience and vitality of our community.

Eligibility for the scheme is open to all for-profit businesses operating within the City of PAE with 200 or fewer full-time equivalent employees. Whether you're a local retailer, a family-owned cafe, or a budding startup, if you share our vision for a sustainable future, you're invited to apply.

Through the scheme, eligible businesses can access financial incentives of up to $10,000 per financial year to support projects aligned with the outlined themes. From installing solar panels and energy-efficient lighting to implementing water-efficient irrigation systems and waste management initiatives, the possibilities are vast.

To streamline the application process, there is an online application tool called SmartyGrants. Timeframes

Applications for Round 3 open on Monday 4 December 2023. The Scheme will be open until Friday 31 May 2024 (or until the yearly budget allocation is exhausted).
